The head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has warned that there will be a surge in the COVID-19 outbreak.
This comes after many countries including Ghana are beginning to ease restrictive measures. Mr. Ghebreyrsus expressed his concerns about the virus by comparing it to the 1918 Spanish flu that killed up to 100 million people.
“Trust us. The worst is yet ahead of us,” he said. He also advised the whole world to adhere to the precautionary measures put in place. His statement together with the position of the Ghanaian Health Expert, Dr. John Amuasi leaves many wondering if the ease of restrictions in Ghana will do more harm than good.
