Dr. Nsiah-Asare, a Ghanaian health management expert has come out to throw more light on key issues that influenced the President’s decision of lifting the lockdown.
According to Dr. Nsiah-Asante who is also a presidential advisor on health issues, the President took the impact of the Coronavirus on socio-economic life into consideration before lifting the lockdown.
He also acknowledged the fact that a majority of the country’s population works in the informal sector thus they were badly hit by the lockdown. It was in the light of this that the lockdown was lifted to enable this majority within the informal sector to fend for themselves.
Dr. Nsiah-Asare also revealed that the government will still continue to fight against this pandemic so all and sundry should adhere strictly to all precautionary measures in order not to get infected.
