As a result of social distancing, musicians across the globe have gotten creative with the medium through which they promote their music.
Most of them are now relying on virtual concerts not only for their own gain but to make their fans feel better. John Legend performed his songs live for an hour on his piano with his wife, Chrissy Teigen. The list of musicians joining in on the fun keeps growing long.
One of Ghana’s own, Shatta wale has announced that his virtual concert dubbed FAITH concert will be taking place at ship mansion inside East Legon on 4th April.2020. this concert, according to him, is to give hope to his fans across the Globe in this moment of difficulties. It will be streaming live on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. A lot of people are excited by this news and cannot wait for a first virtual concert of who they deem to be the dancehall king.
However, Shatta Wale is not the only musician in Ghana ready to move his crowd digitally. Ayigbe Edem has also announced that his digital concert will take place much earlier than his colleague’s that is 29th March, 2020. His concert is titled anti-corona and will stream for an hour on Facebook and YouTube.
I do not know about you but I am very excited to witness this new trend of performing music. The only standing in our way now is not having enough data and a power bank. But we shall overcome. Who’s with me?
