Ghana has been shortlisted to benefit from a $1 billion project organized by Facebook.
The project dubbed 2Africa is a project set up by Facebook to facilitate improved internet connectivity in 23 selected African countries including Ghana, Gabon, Sudan, Madagascar, and Saudi Arabia.
According to a blog post published by Facebook, the improved high speed internet connectivity will facilitate a healthier ecosystems that helps in doing business and connects people all over the world too. The 2Africa project is expected to be completed by 2024.
The project is expected to stretch to European countries too as high-speed connectivity according to Facebook is a key to development in this present age and the near future.
