The Ghana Chamber of Telecommunication has allowed free access to over 100 e-learning sites, online educational sites, and both public and private libraries.
This is part of efforts to reduce the impact of the lockdown amidst the Coronavirus on educational activities.
Speaking in a press release, the Chamber revealed that “over 24,000 consumers who consume over 3 terabytes of data per day for educational purposes” will be supported. The Chamber also outlined steps being taken to make calls to the National COVID-19 response number 112 free.
The boost was well received by many as teaching and learning have been shifted to a more digital format.
